Two bikes seized in Malvern in separate incidents today

At lunch time today (31/03/2026) whilst on Patrol in Malvern retail park, PC Dave Olczak spotted an electric bike being ridden from Townsend Way onto the retail park. The rider was not pedalling and was using a throttle to control the speed of the bike. Any motorised vehicle with a throttle is classed as a mechanically propelled vehicle and the rider is required to have insurance and tax on the bike. 

This particular rider had actually been warned by two officers on previous occasions that he was riding it illegally and it would be seized if he was found riding it again. The rider will not be getting his bike back.

A motorbike was then seized by PC Matt WAITE and PC Anna MORRISON at 4pm after the rider was found to have no insurance and no valid license.
